Chocolate Covered Keyboards & Ugly Crying

Okay, maybe it isn’t as dramatic as all that.

However, I do have a miniature mountain of Hershey chocolate nuggets, a half-full cherry Pepsi, and a lot of anxiety.

I think I’m just frustrated because today is the 9th day of NaNoWriMo, and I wanted to be a lot farther than I am.  Instead, I’m sitting out the rest of my shift at work trying to redraft my Skeleton Draft because I’ve fallen into an insurmountable plot hole that I don’t know how to dig myself out of.

To top it all off, I had physical therapy today, so my leg feels like it’s going to fall right the fuck off.  (Sorry.) So, while I should probably go home, pop a couple of Advil and crawl into bed, since I’m working the odd mid-shift tomorrow, I know that I’m probably not going to. My current plan of attack is to fight my WIP a little bit longer, leave work, head home, and then make myself a cup of coffee.

One of my favorite things lately has been making myself a Maxwell House instant latte almost every night when I come home from work. It isn’t highly caffeinated, it tastes really good, and I find it really comforting. I currently have the vanilla but, I’m sure any of them would be good if you aren’t a vanilla fan.

Wish me luck, I need it.
