Damn. Only three days, huh?
If I didn’t know better, I’d feel like we were on week three of Camp NaNoWriMo, not day three. So, for all of my fellow campers out there, how are you doing? I hope your coffee, tea, or whatever gets you through the writing process is working for you. May you always have enough snacks, Sour Patch Kids, Ghost energy drinks, etc. to get you through the writer’s block, and over the writing slumps. I hope you’re drinking enough water, eating the occasional veggie, and that you’re still getting up or outside, weather permitting, for a stretch break every now and then.
I know how hard it can be when you feel like you have a deadline breathing down your neck. So don’t sweat it. Don’t worry. Even if you don’t make it to your goals this month, you aren’t a failure, and you’re doing the best you can. I’m proud of you. (All things that I wish I’d had someone to say to me the first handful of times I did NaNo. I guess I give good advice, I’m just not great at taking my own advice.)
So, here I sit, working on my project with my silly ass dog, Sour Patch Kids, and a red, Sour Patch Ghost energy drink. What better way is there to spend a Sunday afternoon, right?
