And Then Not Gently at All… Autumn Fell into Winter.

(CW: Whining about the cold? Possums)

I write this from the comfort of my desk, where I am bundled up in a thick hoodie, sweatpants, grippy slipper socks, and a blanket.  I do not like the cold; and cold it is, only 30 degrees.  And I will be even colder in about a half hour when I go out to the grill to make the brats and sausages for dinner tonight.  Could the sausages be made inside?  Yes.  Are they as good when they’re made inside on the stove, or in the toaster oven?  No.  Does that mean that I’m going to make them the way that I want to because I know they’ll taste better?  Definitely.  And I will do so, whining, almost the entire way because I do not handle the cold very well.

Sky from the future dropping in to say that this was NOT posted when I originally planned- originally, I was going to post this at 6pm, and instead, I found this cute little guy on my deck in the cold. He was given some bread, and eventually wandered off after warming his toes. But I just had to mention him because look at this sweet little face!

I did manage to catch up on some of the words I needed for NaNoWriMo though, whereas I’d previously thought that I might end up dropping out.  I don’t always feel confident about my writing, in fact there are quite a few days when I feel anything but.  However, I feel like today, I am feeling better than I have about my writing since Angel left.  I just want to make her proud.

Also, don’t forget that there will be a new posting schedule going forward starting tomorrow!  Every other Monday I will be doing a Character Monday where I post either a questionnaire, or some other kind of character worksheet.  Since it is NaNoWriMo, I’m planning to start with one of the characters of this month’s project.  Every other Wednesday I will be doing a Folklore Wednesday, where we’ll be taking a deep dive into the folklore of my stories.  Then, every Friday I will be posting a book review, since I’ve been doing a lot of reading lately.  My book reviews can often be found on Goodreads but, I’m also excited to start posting them here, as well as on TikTok and Instagram! Not to mention that I also hope to start posting a few recipes here and there!

Tomorrow, there will also be a special post about A Court of Sugar and Spice by Rebecca F. Kenney, who so graciously sent me a gorgeous box with a signed copy of her book, as well as some amazing swag, stickers, and bookmarks!  I absolutely cannot wait to read it, review it, and then tell you all about it- if you follow my TikTok, you can see the unboxing that I did over there yesterday.  And let me just say that it is absolutely beautiful.

          Stay Warm,

          -Sky
