Hi frens, itās me, Luna-Moth! š¶š
Normally, Fridays are our worky days together- me and Mama go places, help her with her medical stuff, and I get to wear my sunflower vest and be a Very Official Girl. But not every day is a service doggy day, and today⦠was one of those days. š
Mama had to go see one of her hooman doctors again- the rheumatologist, I think? She says the office people love me, and I know the blood-sucker man (she calls him the vampire? I think thatās a nickname??) always gives me scritches and says Iām brave. (With permission of course.) I would have loved to go. But the sun was being a big olā meanie today. š„µ Ninety degrees?! No thank you. Thatās hot enough to cook a pupper!
Mama says that even with my special gear, my cooling collar, and my Yeti water bottle, itās just not worth the risk. She says she drives a big black Jeep with the worldās worst seats for service dogs. I say that sounds dramatic until I try to sit on them- then I understand. No cooked butt floofs please.
So today, I stayed home.
But donāt worry- I still had so many important things to do! š¾āØ
Hereās what a hard-working girl like me gets up to when sheās āoff-dutyā (whatever that means):
- Gave my purple monster toy a proper chewing. (He had it coming.)
- Took a nap in the sun on the deck like a baked potato. 10/10. Would recommend.
- Snuggled the Yard Yeti (he gives the best belly rubs.)
- Helped Bear bark at the boats, the trucks, and the neighborhood Karens. We are excellent security staff.
- Missed Mamas. But just a little. (Okay a lot.)
- Got zoomie-ready for when she came home!!
When the humans finally returned (I counted, it was like⦠87 years), I wagged my tail so fast I nearly took off. Bear and I gave the full welcome committee treatment: smiles, tail waggies, happy tappies, the works. š
Then it was outside for gardening, veggie patrol, and weed inspections! Mama says Iām not allowed to help dig holes but⦠she didnāt say anything about dramatic flops in the yard. š
Anyway. Just because I didnāt go to work today doesnāt mean I wasnāt still the best girl. (Mama said so. Twice.) And Iāll be back in vest in no time. Until then? Iāll be napping with one ear open and my purple monster under my paw. š¾
Love you mean it,
Luna š¾āØ
