There’s something special and precious about autumn that feels like breathing again. The air turns crisp, the leaves shift to gold, and for a few short months my body cooperates just a little bit more. Without the heavy summer heat, I get to live closer to the life I dream of- long walks with Luna, hands in garden soil, books and mugs of something warm in my hands, and endless hours of baking and cooking in my kitchen when my joints allow it.
That’s why I’m especially excited for this fall on The Crippled Cryptid. I’ve been quietly planning a refreshed weekly rhythm full of folklore, bookish stacks, service dog moments, and small glimpses of disabled life that feel cozy and real. Think of it as a soft seasonal reset- more stories, more magic, more adventures, and more of the things that make this corner of the internet feel like home. Feel like mine.
Stay tuned next week as I roll out the new schedule (and just a few surprises). Until then, tell me in the comments what you’d love to see more of this season- pull up a chair, pour yourself something warm, and settle in with me for this new chapter.
